Description

AU-300 is an Audio Unit Plugin based MIDI-Programmer for some famous Japanese synths from the Mid-80's.

It brings the modern DAW based working process together with the analoge sound of the Alpha Juno Family.

  • Load it in your AU-Host and control the Alpha Juno just like using a softsynth.
  • All settings are saved in the project file (and restored on load).
  • All parameters can be modulated and automation curves can be drawn.
  • You can save and restore .aupresets files and manage them on your computer
  • If your Host is supporting Midi learn, map your controller to it!
This is usually only possible with Sysex-capable controllers.

FAQ

Q:

How can I use the Plugin with Logic Pro?

A:

In some cases, you have to manually activate the plugin in the Audio Units Manager. This is because validation fails and Logic disables the plugin by default. It should then run without problems in Logic.

Q:

Is there a Windows Version availible?

A:

A Windows Version is currently not planned. There is other good software for Windows doing the job.

Q:

How do I have to configure my Synth to work with AU-300?

A:

Activate processing of incoming Sysex Messages in the Patch Menu (Midi Excl = ON).

Q:

My Automation, Modulation is delayed? What's up?

A:

This is a limitation of the midi capability. Sending too much on the Alpha is overloading it. Try to reduce input or repetition of changes. A good indicator for overloading is the Midi-Message-LED. It should stop flashing when stopping the MIDI-Clock of your DAW.
